About this homestay
Host
We are a friendly multilingual couple who enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures. Between our household we speak English, Spanish and Russian, and we enjoy music, cooking, travel and good conversation. We are sociable and welcoming while also respecting independence and privacy, so guests are welcome to join us for a chat or occasional shared meal, but there is no expectation to socialise all the time. We want our guest to feel comfortable treating the house as their home.
Property
Our home is a modern, sunny townhouse with lots of natural light and beautiful sunset views. The guest room is a spacious furnished master bedroom with its own private ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, located on a different level from our bedroom for some extra privacy. There is also the option of having your own mini-fridge in the laundry on the same level. Guests can enjoy the shared living areas and kitchen, large outdoor patio and BBQ, Wi-Fi, modern whiteware including washer and dryer, and other household appliances.
Location
We are located in Newlands, conveniently positioned between Wellington CBD, Lower Hutt and Porirua, all approximately 10–15 minutes away by car with easy motorway access. There are good public transport connections nearby, and local shops are very convenient, including New World Newlands only around a 2-minute drive away. Johnsonville and its shops and services are also close by, while the neighbourhood itself is residential with green spaces and lovely walks nearby.
